being mentally strong

lots of people over look becoming mentally strong training your mind to think a certain way its crazy how guys like gsp or anderson silva and even fedor are so focus and calm but so deadly i think about this and it makes me think of what bruce lee said "be like water my friend"

lmfao yeah i notice guys dont really talk that much about it i know gsp mentions a few things about it but to me its like these guys are so focused its crazy like gsp last fight he hurt his groin really bad but he kept fighting i want that kind of drive and mentality

Then have it. It's that simple, it's a mental state and you don't learn it. Just have it right now, be mentally tough.

yha Re member when rich franklin broke his hand in the second round of his fight with dave and ended up still dominating the fight.

The dean of mean blew out his knee in the first round of his fight against vera but ended up pulling off the UD.

luke cumo had to be the best in mental strength if you remember him from season 2. He did the wall chair for 2 hours i think.

being mentally tough and learning new techniques are COMPLETELY different. What im saying is if you take a hard leg kick and it makes you want to kneel down and get your ass beat so you can ice your leg sooner-go ahead. You can't learn not to do that, but you can just say to yourself "**** the pain, now lets get him back"
