Dude, I feel the same as you.

I've just turned 18 and really love MMA, I've been looking around for some places to learn. There is a very good Muay Thai school near me (well I say near me, it's 40 mins away) and about an hour away there is a pretty good looking club that does BJJ, Wrestling, MMA and Submission Wrestling.

I do strength and cardio training most days, it's just persuading my parents to take me there at least once a week, until I can pass my driving test, then I could go more often.

I don't think age is a problem though, we're still young and can easily become proficient fighters if we are meant to do so, I'm a big believer of natural talent, which I'm hoping I have. I've never seen myself doing a conventional job so who knows!

lol well i did my workout today. Intermission! that 5 circles of hell workout got finished today! i did it and im SO sore! lol

Wow man good work. I honestly could only do 2 rounds but thats because my cardio is not great right now to say the least aha. Thanks for the email too, forgot to reply but basically thanks so much for the help I will def be trying that out !

had a friend time me, i had trouble doing the 3rd round when it came to all that upper body at one time since i have it keyed to do striking the whole time. i might move the exercises around and stuff. but all in all its good. im still feeling it in my legs and back lol

You are young enough. You just need to light a fire under your own butt!

You have to really, really want it. And no matter what, whenever you think you've worked hard enough, work harder. It's that GSP mentality. If you don't push yourself beyond what you think you are capable of then what are you doing?

If you are serious about it try and work on your mental attitude towards training; find a way to do it all the time, wherever you are, whatever you can use.

Keep seeking out help and be ready to explain how passionate you are and you might find the right person to lead you, but just make sure you know it will start with you!

Of course you can do it man, I have 100% faith in you. Did you know that George Soti started BJJ at 19? And that Soszynski started training MMA at 25! NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER. But he stuck to it, and 6 yes later he landed a contract with the UFC!

So yes, it's not too late, you are still young!
