Olives?

Ok my brother and I are both watching what we eat nowadays and losing weight while working out steadily. We both love olives though. I mean I like to have some with my sandwich at lunch, or in my salad at dinner. I love them all, small ones, jalapeno stuffed...all of them. I know they have a lot of fat, but are they not so good to eat? I just hope that they are good for you because I don't want to cut back on my olive consumption lol

One of you gurus please advise...

You need some good sources of fat in your diet. Just watch out for saturated fats in processed foods. Anything that you can find out in nature is a good bet for healthy food. Just watch out cause most canned/bottled things like that are loaded with sodium. So i vote yes for olives!

Excellent! That is what I was thinking. And while I was just folding clothes I was wondering about the sodium in them from whatever canning process they use. I also love to eat pepperocinnis and pickles with my sandwich. I guess I need to check the sodium on all of these since I don't want them holding me down.

Yes, olives are a great food source. Better if you can find them using sea salt instead of regular salt as regular salt is heavily processed and has iodine added which sucks for the body. As another user said, avoid processed foods. Pretty much ALL of them. Just dick filler food and not nutritious.

And now this just pisses me off "Even if the whole world is against you, one thing will never let you down. That thing is beer." cuz it is soooooo freakin true!!!!
