New guy. Educate me please.

Okay, I'm not sure if this is the right section, but I think it is.

I'm new(ish) to MMA and need to work on not only my physique...260lbs, big not muscular but only flabby in the torso and lower extremities...so I wondered what kinds of foods should I be eating to help with my motabolization as well as provide enough energy for a decently exhausting workout?

I also wondered what kind of cardiovascular endurance workouts anyone out there knows about?

Enlighten the newbie.

Don't drink anything but water. And I am talking 5L a day, and eat low calorie foods. The secret to weight loss is to burn more calories then you consume, so eat smart.

As for training look up H.I.I.T training.

Goodluck

Eat a lot of lean meats, like chicken and tuna. Like the previous post said, drink lots of water, and only water. Obviously, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Eat a number of small meals a day, so that you never go too long between eating. If you do, your metabolism has time to slow down. Also, look around on some of the other threads, there are lots of topics on proper eating.
