Best time of day to work out?
Watsup guys, in the past week ive been starting to go to the gym everyday and ive been wondering what is the best time of the day to work out?
My main goal right now is to lose weight. My workout consists of 30 min of med-high intensity cardio, and another 30 of weight lifting and muscle conditioning. So an hour total.
I heard that the morning is the best time because it kick starts your metabolism for the whole day. Is this true? If not, fo you know what part of the day it is?
Or does it not matter at all?

Yeah, it can be a good idea to work out in the morning to get your metabolism going. However, if your goal is to lose weight, be sure that you eat something in the morning so that your body will start burning calories as soon as you wake up. So do both, eat and workout early in the morning.

Working out in the morning is good to kick start your metabolism.
One thing to consider though, is that your body isnt as warmed-up as it would be in the evening. That means a work out that you could easily do in the evening might be a bit tougher in the morning. Also, this means you are more prone to injuries if you do not warm up properly.
Another advantage though, is that its very good for mental toughness. It feels good to finish a strong work out in the morning, so that the next time you work out in the evening, its a piece of cake!
I do a lot of hills and HIIT and I always have more difficulty finishing in the mornings.

I usually work out in the afternoon. I find that it stops me eating as much in the evenings, but a late evening class/workout sometimes makes it hard to sleep.

hmm, so that brings me to another question, xo you think it would be better (and im talking about myself) to go twice a day being at the gym for an hour for both of those times
or once a day for 2 hours(1 hour cardio, 1hour weights)?

It doesn't particularly matter, it's best if you choose a time that's convenient for you as this will keep you consistent. However, cardio is great in the mornings as it kick-starts your metabolism.
