Just Starting Out

In a few months, I plan to go out and join some sort of Martial Art and I was wondering which would be best for me.

Also, in the next month or so, before I join, I plan to cut some weight, I currently bought a few canisters of Whey Protein. Is there anything else I should do to cut the weight?

Im about 6'3, 235-240

First, in order to know what martial art to recommend to you I'd need to know what your interests are. Are you doing this to compete? or self-defense? Do you like getting close with sweaty people (i.e. grappling) or would you prefer more striking from a distance?

The only thing I suggest to drop the weight is to adjust your diet and increase your cardio. Lower the number of calories you take in as much as you can (still eat though) and do intense cardio sessions (but remember to take it easy if you feel faint)

I would like to Grapple, or striking from a distance would also be alright.
