IT really depends on the supplement and the purpose for which you are taking it. If it is protein, to help gain muscle or weight, my suggestion is a couple of times a day, most preferably within 45 minutes of waking up, and within 45 minutes of finishing your weight training workout. Also... any more than 40 grams of protein at a clip can't be process and is wasted. My suggestion is get whey protein from GNC, and take 40 grams worth twice a day. You can mix it with skip milk to get a decent tasting beverage.
