Yeah. A lot of it is dehydration and losing as much water weight as possible, but I'm sure it's combined with a very large amount of HIIT (High intensity interval training) cardio to melt off as much additional fat as possible beforehand. You can get some serious losses with HIIT as long as you stay focused and dedicated. It can be very difficult to do and utterly exhausting.
As a side note:
Be very careful when trying to lose weight rapidly. If you aren't careful you can torch your muscles and end up losing lean mass if you train too intensely. Once your HR gets up to a certain point, your body can no longer effectively pull from glycogen stores, and you start to metabolize muscle for energy instead of fat+carbs. Not good.
