post workout

i know its important to let your muscles rest after lifting at the gym, so does that mean its a bad idea to run/jumprope an hour or two after a workout? and if so does that only apply if you worked a certain muscle group or is it regardless of what group you worked that day? thanks

I am kind of curious about things like this as well. I know you can overwork your muscles, but after watching AA's workouts he does each day I'm wondering if there's really much truth to it. I know that you should do whatever works for you personally but I'm sure most if not all MMA fighters train every day. I have read to work out every other day at most.

I would think that it is fine, but I do my running before I lift weights, for a couple reasons. It's easier for to do it before and it warms me up and I'm able to lift heavier weights while lifting so I'm performing better.

i run after certain workout days and its a great way to finish a workout because you are tired from the workout but still have to push yourself through the run anyway
