After finished my vale tudo class at 8:30 what can I eat before bed?

Hello, I'm not very good at nutrition but I am learning, After a vale tudo class that finishes at 8:30 I have a protein shake... But before I got to bed I am super hungry, And I feel like going to bed hungry will stunt my recovery... so whats good to eat that will not make me tubby? atm I will have some cheese or something, Thats just because I like cheese though.

You want to have slow digesting proteins and carbs. Casein protein is ideal this type of protein is found in Milk cheese and cottage cheese. Try some cottage cheese with natural peanut butter mixed in should help your body recover and your hunger.

the only way you're going to put fat on is by eating over your daily calorie limit for an amount of time.
putting fat on by eating before bed is a complete myth, it doesn't matter what time you eat, just make sure you're either within your caloric needs, or rather at maintenance levels so you don't lose mass.

Does that mean I can eat tastey food? not just a dust sandwich and a thumb nimble of water

Protein is a no brainer obviously, you need lots of that after training. But I would recommend some slow carbs too, you need it to recover from your training, but don't overdo it. If I train late in the night, I just try to get more protein and less carbs than normal afterwards. You can't go all atkins if you're serious about training. But stay away from low quality carbs in the night.

It all depends on your metabolism though, if you're a really skinny kid, just have a big meal and don't worry about it.

Are you trying to gain weight?

If so, eat protein before bed. Protein is a little too much for your body to digest completely while you are asleep... so if you are looking to gain weight, I'd eat something with protein.

If you're not looking to gain weight, you can eat whole grain carbs, etc. A bowl of cereal (skim milk) works. Your body can digest the carbs fairly easy, thus helping out your metabolism, and giving you a little boost the next AM.
