Looking for some nutrition info

Is good diet as simple as just eating your weight in protein everyday and eating alot of fruit/veggies? I'm just wondering cause I was thinking about just eating 1 large protein stuffed meal a day with lots of meat in it and then have four or five other meals with alot of veggies and fruits because I only weigh 150 and I dont need alot of protein. Would this be a good diet in your guys opinions? I'd be taking a protein shake in everyday too.

Sounds like a bit of an overkill to me.

Anyway, I'm not going to bash Atkins if you're a couch potato, but if you do some form of physical exercise on a regular basis, you need more carbs than whatever you get from those fruits. And if you're underweight you don't even have to worry that much about eating too much carbs. Just make sure they're whole-grain if you're looking for a healthy diet.

I've heard that you are supposed to eat your weight in protein everyday to properly build muscle and have even heard of bodybuilders eating double their weight in protein. I'm going to be traing too for the cage. So I'd be doing cardio and weight lifting 3 times a week and skill training (boxing, jujitsu, ect.) 5 times a week.

Yeh I'm looking for a healthy diet that will give me the energy I need though. How could I tell if the carbs are whole grain? Is whole grain carbs the only thing I should eat?

Bad idea. Eat several balanced meals. 30-40 grams of protein in conjunction with some whole grains and lots of water. Excess protein gets stored as fat same as any other macronutrient.
