Either way this is probably one of those short term diets and not a long term one. That is the problem with all those diet supplements. They work in the short term but not in the long term!
Give this a read mate, certainly sounds like he knows his stuff, and given his life experiences I'd say this is a diet plan that can work in the long term. You don't go from a 180lb freestyle wrestler, to a 280lb powerlifter back down to a 170lb MMA fighter in 10 years without it being a long term thing. Probably worth checking his diet guide out if you're in the business of weight cutting. Certainly seemed to work for Rampage, and Thiago Alves looks incredible ATM.
In short, my nutritional and lifestyle principles are based upon the science behind longevity.
I found, through my work and own life needs, that when we focus on living as long and healthy as possible, the immediate side-effect is dramatic athletic enhancement.
Of course, that is a simplified description of my more than 20 years of research and experience, but it should give you a good idea of what I do.
I hope that helps?
I'm new to this forum but will do my best to keep jumping on!
Props to you man for coming out on this MMA forum. It would help us out though in this discussion though if you gave some examples of some of the dieting practices you did though. As a wrestler I've had to diet before so I could come to my own judgements on the subject if I saw some examples of what this diet entails!
Having trouble finding any info on this diet other than the same vague responses in most forums. Basically I have found that it seems to be a high protein diet with a high intensity work out.
Yeah, I know Alves got onboard with it and thats why he did so well with his last fight. Supposedly that's what hes doing for his next fight as well. I can only guess what it comprises!
correct me if i'm wrong, but dulce is the italian word for "sweet" or "sugar", while dolce in italian means sweet when referring to a person or descriptor for something else...? also the guy's name is dolce so i doubt it's a sugar diet haha.
as far as the diet it seems strange that there's no info on what it is. i hope the designer of the diet knows that no one is trying to get a free diet plan, they just want a couple details [out of what i'm sure are many details] out of the whole system. i think there's probably a way to give a couple examples or explain a couple principles without letting the cat out of the bag.
Yeah, I think it's just the name for the diet and doesn't mean what kind've food is in the diet. But yeah at some point someone is going to give and tell what the diet is about. He may hope to keep this secret but it won't be a secret forever!
The book is a waste of money! It talks about HIS weight cut and how HE did it. Does not give you any recipes, guidelines to follow..NOTHING! It is absolute highway robbery! He claims to care but ignores email and email. It may help MMA guys but for the average person it is the biggest waste of money. And he wont refund you. That tells you what a joke it is. Very sad because he definitely knows what he is doing, but the book is useless to anyone who already knows how to eat clean and healthy. Nothing more irritating than seeing him post on Twitter, Facebook and You Tube but continually ignoring my emails. Not hard to give someone a refund Mike Dolce!
Yeah, that doesn't work for the longterm. This type of weightcutting is meant for MMA fighters who are cutting weight and need energy just the same. It doesn't help the everyday person.
