I just played a classic Silva vs Franklin II, which had several errors, like, using current (well, at the time of the game) records (Rich had 4 losses, and Silva was 23-4), Silva reach appears as 75.5" instead of 77.5". Rich's pants aren't the save he wore at ufc 78, and the fight takes place in the Madison Square Garden in New York instead of Cincinatti.

I was expecting an easy win (playing at advanced instead of expert, I set that for my carree till I get used to the game), but Franklin destroyed me. I couldn't stop him, and my strikes didn't do much. I lost my KO in the 3rd.

Then I go to exhibition and check the stats.


Standing Strikes Offense (that is, punches and elbows)
Anderson Silva-> 71
Rich Franklin-> 82

I was like WTF?. Shouldn't Silva by in the high 90s?. He's the best striker in MMA!

But I checked a few more:

Dan Henderson -> 86
Bisping -> 85
Marquardt -> 72
Leben -> 87
Swick -> 79
McFedries -> 83

Wow. So many better strikers than Silva just in the MW.

I checked a few, randomly:

Brock Lesnar -> 85
Velasquez -> 85
Evans -> 86
Rampage -> 92
Machida -> 53 ????

Perhaps that refers to POWER, maybe, but there isn't any other stat for punches (except the defense).

So you wouldn't want to stand with Machida or Silva.

Big failure.

That's weird....I was planning on using Silva in the league until I had a created player up to snuff.

I finally fell to the temptation. I will have to wait for at least 10 more days till the game arrives here, if not more, so I downloaded it and patched so it could work on my 1.4 ixtreme. I'm not playing online, of course, until my retail copy arrives.

But it is quite odd, because striking offense shouldn't mean power, which is already on the strenght attribute, but technique. Silva should have like 96 or so, and Machida 93. But now Marquardt is a better puncher than Silva...

More odd things. Brock Lesnar is rated at 80 strenght out of 100. How can you me stronger than Lesnar?. Maybe leave a little, say, 95-96 strenght for Lesnar, but 80?
