Disappointing, but I think Maia would have had his way with Kim on the ground.

You think so? I thought Maia was a good submission artist but how exactly is his ground game? I wish I can say but I don't know too much about Maia. This fight feels... unfinished for me. I am a huge DHK fan mainly because I love judo and plus he's a Korean fighter. I almost cried yesterday, and as a grown man it was pretty sad indeed.

Maia is a world champion in BJJ and just flat out has a phenomenal ground game. I think Kim has awesome grappling but with Maia on top, I don't see it going too well for Kim or any fighter really.

...Maia didn't look too bad at 170. Kim is no pushover by anymeans, even though he suffered an injury when Maia tossed him. Demian is in a weighclass filled with sharks. Fitch, Kampmann, Condit ect; The list goes on. I'd love to see Shields vs. Maia, a grapplers delight for sure. Lotta good challenges with Maia at 170. Let's see how he fairs against the pitbulls at the top of the division. Maia does pose a big threat to anyone with his top of the heap Jiu Jitsu skills...

This is where I am biased because I like Judo and he's a Korean fighter so I'm always going to root Korean. But respect though. DHK expressed that he wanted to keep the fight in stand up and that he wanted to knock Maia out. Which could be possible but a great BJJ skill is not to be trifled with.
