Round 1 - Yves Lavigne is in the house for his first reffing assignment of the night. Looping right from Nijem catches shoulder and in the clinch, Keith lands a low knee. He'll get a warning from Lavigne and Nijem will get some time. They get started again and item lands a kick and a right hand. He works hard for a takedown, but it's Keith who is going to wind up on top. Nijem tries to retain guard, but Keith flips to mount. He only has it briefly before Nijem escapes to his feet. In an oddity, the lights above the cage briefly flicker, but everyone powers through it. Nijem gets the fight to the cage, then gets full mount of his own. He lands some nice elbows and big fists as Keith covers up. Lavigne looks in closely and finally as Keith rolls over, he's seen enough. Despite the short moment of danger when he was mounted, Nijem made it look pretty easy. And he's also getting 20 percent of Keith's purse after the newcomer failed to make weight on Thursday.
