Round 1 - Referee Josh Rosenthal in the cage as we go live on pay-per-view. Lawrence takes the center and open with a front kick. Holloway staying at distance early and fires off a high kick. Holloway moves inside, and Lawrence trips him to the floor. They scramble up, and Lawrence has a cut at the hairline over his right eye that is bleeding pretty badly. Lawrence lands and Holloway staggers back, but he seems to wave that it was just off-balance. Crisp left for Lawrence. Left to the body.Holloway just a little behind, and he eats a right hand. He's not hurt, and Holloway continues to push forward. He lands another shot to the groin as time expires, front kicking from a flying knee. MMAjunkie.com gives the round to Lawrence, 10-9.
Round 2 - Lawrence opens with kicks to the body, and Holloway answers by kicking high. Leaping punches miss for Lawrence, but he's working combinations. Spinning backfist lands for Lawrence. Holloway answers with a nice right hand. Holloway standing in the pocket and looking to trade. Two punches land for Lawrence before he slips the counter. Lawrence ducks in for a takedown, but Holloway shucks him off and stays upright. pace slowing a little bit, but Lawrence seems to be the more powerful striker right now. Holloway still trying to use his long jab. Lawrence shoots from distance to no avail. Lawrence left eye is showing some signs of wear, and his nose is bleeding, as well. Holloway controlling the center as Lawrence settles for striking on the outside. Holloway starting to find rhythm in this final minute. He catches Lawrence's attention with a combination up top then drops him with two shots to the body. Not much time left on the clock, but Holloway pounces with punches. With Lawrence covering, Rosenthal waves it off. Max Holloway def. Justin Lawrence via TKO (punches) - Round 1, 4:49.
