Round 1 - Sass gets the fight to the ground in all of about three seconds, not counting the glove touch. Wiman ties him up in guard as Sass walks him casually over to his corner. Sass tries to posture up for some elbows and gets a couple through. Then he flips back and looks for a heel hook, right into his wheelhouse. Wiman slips it, and then Sass gets an arm. But Wiman slips that, too. Important to note that Wiman never has been submitted. But Sass said this week he wants to be the first. But right now, its Siman looking for a choke that Sass easily fights out of for now. But it's Wiman who throws up a triangle-armbar just briefly. But Sass gets out to the crowd's delight. He lands a few more big shots from his knees, then looks to ground-scramble his way out of Wiman holding his hand looking for an armbar of his own. But Sass moves, and Wiman pulls it – and he's got it! Sass has to tap after a career of doing nothing but tapping everyone else he's faced. Fantastic win for Wiman. Matt Wiman def. Paul Sass via submission (armbar) - Round 1, 3:48
