Maia always lets me down. Going with Rick Story, 1 mill.

Where did half of Maia's ear go?

It's like that on UFC.com too (Link) don't know must be legit. Has he been sparring with Tyson lately?

Yep, I noticed it too when I was doing the cards. Think it's an editing error rather than how it actually is.

Looks like a dodgy Photoshop job to me

Me too. Couldn't be bothered to fix it with the amount of cards I had to do. Fail on the part of the UFC graphics department. :thumb02:

Surprised to see Maia as the slight favorite, he hasn't really looked impressive as of late. Still betting on him though. Story has always shown weak TDD so Maia should grapple his way to a UD.

Kim is a guy with elite TDD and Maia was all over him like stink on shit even before the injury. If he comes in the same way for this fight I expect it to be a short story.

Round 1 - Referee Mario Yamasaki in the cage as we go live on pay-per-view. Maia looks quickly for a takedown and secures Story's left leg. Story stays up, so Maia grabs the other leg and slams his opponent to the floor. Maia works hard to transition to the back as Story is on a knee. Maia can't get there, but he does flatten Sotry about for a moment. It doesn't last long, and Story scrambles up. Still, Maia isvery tight and presses him to the floor. Story trying to use cage to keep Maia from advancing, but he gets his legs around the back and starts to look for the choke. Right arm on the chin and just under. He cranks on Story's neck. Story trying desperately to survive, but he's in some pain and forced to tap. Demian Maia def. Rick Story via submission (rear-naked choke) - Round 1, 2:30.
