Round 1 - Referee Steve Mazzagatti on the cage. Quick exchange early, and Parke scores with a left hand. Both fighters working kicks in the early going. Southpaw trading jabs, as well. Overhand left sores for Parke. Tokudome moving in but is hit by another strong left. He looks unfazed, but he's eating some early shots. Parke very active early, and he's changing levels. Parke kicks the legs. Tokudome drops for a shot, but Parke stuffs it and turns him to the fence. Parke scores a takedown, but Tokudome pops right back to his feet. Parke stays ties to the body, but Tokudome reverses position in a smooth scramble and sets up in top position with less than two minutes remaining. Parke keeps his opponent tight and scores a few short elbows. Parke rolls to the right and looks for a kimura setup. Tokudome pulls free and briefly reverses by securing the wrist, but Parke pulls free and scores a slick sweep that sees him move to top. SIde control in the final seconds. Round 2 - Low kicks again to open, but Parke scores a stiff left hand. He kicks the thigh, and both fighters flurry. Parke again gets the best of it. Big left hand scores, and Tokudome is wobbled. Still, he stands in the pocket. Parke blasts away. He's landing, but Tokudome showing an incredible chin. High kick scores for Parke, as does a straight left. Tokudome taking incredible punishment. He's returning fire but not finding the target. Parke patient and avoiding making any mistakes while hunting for the knockout. He drops in for a takedown. Tokudome quickly gets his back to the cage and then crawls up to his feet. He backs away and lands a right hand and launches a flying knee. Parke slips it and scores a driving takedown. He's in mount, but Tokudome pushes over and to his knees. Final minute of the round. Tokudome rises and moves forward, only to eat a knee to the body. One more left before the bell for Parke, and he takes the round on the MMAjunkie.com card, 10-9.
Round 3 - Tokudome moves forward again at the bell, and punches are traded in the pocket. Parke still the more accurate striker so far. Parke looks for a single-leg, but Tokudome reverses the action and scores a trip. However, he can't control Parke, who gets to his knees and controls from the front headlock. They move up to the feet. Parke pushing in from the outside. Corner calls for more punches. His volume is slowing a bit. He looks for a takedown, but it's Tokudome who shows balance and twists to move to top position. He can't hold it, as Parke pushes up and moves to the feet, where they reset. Leg kicks traded. Tokudome has a high kick graze the top of the head and then follows with a a flurry of punches. He drives in on a big takedown, but Parke pops back up to his feet. Parke backs away. Parke still finding success with straight punches, but Tokudome is having his best round of the fight. Late scramble in the final seconds. Bell sounds, and Parke puts his hands in the air.
