Round 1 - Both fighters kick to the body early as Dan Miragliotta looks in as the third man. Dos Anjos looks for a combo inside, but they return to the kicking. A knee from Cerrone is on the mark, and he backs it up with a jab. Then he catches a dos Anjos kick and tries to trip him down, but things stay standing. They continue kicking. But Cerrone gets rocked with a right hand and goes down. Dos Anjos tries to take advantage on the ground, but Cerrone scares him off a little going after a triangle choke. Cerrone recovers to full guard as dos Anjos tries to work from his back. Dos Anjos tries to pass, but Cerrone works back to guard, where he lands some good elbows. And they come bigger with about 30 seconds left. "Cowboy" could be in trouble, but he's going to survive the round. It's a 10-9 first frame for dos Anjos, though, the underdog in this fight.

Round 2 - Dos Anjos kicks early, and we'll see if Cerrone makes any changes from the first round. He eats a body kick from the Brazilian, and then a punch to the midsection. Dos Anjos looks like he's gaining confidence in each strike. Dos Anjos is having success getting inside, and he lands a good knee. Then he fires a right hook to the body. Cerrone shoots in and gets a nice takedown. He quickly gets to half-guard, and that will neutralize dos Anjos for the time being. Cerrone tries to pass, and he nearly pins dos Anjos' right arm. He goes after a guillotine, but it's not there, and dos Anjos gets back to his feet. Now the Brazilian shoots for a takedown, and he pins Cerrone against the fence trying to finish. He can't, though, and they go back to work on the feet. They trade body kicks with 90 seconds left. dos Anjos wants a takedown with a minute left and he gets it and lands some shots from on top. It'll be another 10-9 round for dos Anjos.

Round 3 - It's likely desperation time for Cerrone here in the co-main event, and he lands a right hand early. But he comes back with a big left kick to dos Anjos' outside leg that takes him off his feet. But back up, dos Anjos stays active. Dos Anjos desperately wants another double-leg, but he can't get it. He's still got Cerrone stifled along the fence midway through the round. With 90 seconds left, Cerrone lands some good punches and he opens up a bigger cut under dos Anjos' left eye. Cerrone starts throwing with a little more desperation now. Could it be typical slow start Cerrone? But could it be too little, too late? The crowd is behind him. He lands some leg kicks, then eats a right hand. With 10 seconds left, Cerrone won't be able to get a final flurry off. Cerrone may have stolen the final round 10-9, but it looks like dos Anjos has the fight 29-28.

Result: Rafael dos Anjos def. Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
