He continues working for it but doesn't have the angle. He tries again from the top, but Siler pops free and takes top position. They're back on their feet, and the soldiers cheer in appreciation. Bermudez shoots again and must fend off a guillotine. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Bermudez.

Round 2 - Bermudez with a superman punch that misses, and he slips but quickly resets. They trade punches, but Bermudez pushes forward with a takedown attempt. He picks up and drops Siler, who can't hang onto a guillotine. Bermudez is in an open guard, but Silver fights his way to his feet. He then presses Bermudez against the cage and delivers a knee to the midsection. Bermudez answers with an elbow and deposits Siler on his back. Siler pulls him into full guard, and the pace slows. Bermudez gets in a few short punches, but Siler keeps him tight. Bermudez looks t pass, but Siler is having none of it. Bermudez finally frees a leg and looks for a guillotine, but Siler's in no danger. However, Bermudez keeps at it and tightens it up. Siler wants a standup. Bermudez looks to move to side control, but Siler successfully fights it off. Siler gets back to his feet just as the round ends. It's another one for Bermudez, 10-9.

Round 3 - Bermudez lands a nice right, but Siler quickly recovers. Bermudez, though, shoots and gets the takedown. Siler looks for a guillotine but breaks off and gets to his feet. Siler on his heels and not ready to commit. However, he counters Bermudez with a nice quick right. Bermudez again presses the action before dipping and shooting. Siler fends it off and gets his back to the cage and then avoids a trip takedown. Bermudez still the aggressor, though nothing much is landing. Bermudez ducks under an uppercut and shoots, but Siler is ready and circles away. Bermudez shoots again and easily gets the double-leg takedown. He frees a leg, but Siler pulls it back in. Bermudez tries to posture up, but Siler pulls him close. Siler gets to his feet, fights of a guillotine, and finally breaks his head free. They trade leather in the final 20 seconds, but nothing major lands. MMAjunkie.com has it 10-9 for Bermudez, who wins it 30-27.

Result: Dennis Bermudez def. Steven Siler via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
