Round 1 – Dual southpaws, and Lapsley rushes forward with a right hand, but High ducks under and scores a quick takedown. High working hard to get his left leg free. He does, taking a quick mount. He looks to strike, and Lapsley bucks, turning over. High seizes the back. Lapsley tying up the arms, and referee Mario Yamasaki calls for them to work. As they adjust, Lapsley scrambles up, but High shoots in again. Lapsley tries to scramble up, and High tries to take the neck. He drops for the guillotine, but it’s not there, so he scrambles back up to keep position. Lapsley crawls up, but High just throws him to the floor yet again. High on the back, but he transitions over to mount. Lapsley turns again to expose the back. He has just been absolutely smothered. Corner begging for Lapsley to stand, but High controlling the position. High spins to look for the guillotine choke. He can’t quite get the squeeze, but he winds up in mount again, where he finishes the round. MMAjunkie gives High the first, 10-9.

Round 2 – High ducks under a few early punches and looks for the takedown. Lapsley tries to roll for the knee, but High slips through it and settles again to the top, moving immediately to mount. Lapsley turns again. A second effort sees him reverse position. Lapsley now on top, and he lands a nice elbow. High trying to hold tight underneath. Lapsley not terribly busy on top. High tries to bridge and escape, but Lapsley stays tight and presses him back to the floor. Lapsley turns his attention to the left arm. He can’t quite secure it, and High tries to turn inside and escape. Instead, Lapsley pushes back down. Bell sounds, and MMAjunkie sees it for Lapsley, 10-9.

Round 3 – Lapsley with an early front kick, and High answers with a powerful left hand. They clash again early, but it’s High who takes top position in an important scramble. High postures up and moves to side control. Lapsley turns in and works to a knee. High tries to take the neck, but Lapsley keeps him from taking the choke. High keeps moving and does grab a guillotine, falling to his back to cinch the choke. Lapsley presses froward to relieve the tension, and High lets go, trying to roll directly into an omo plata. Lapsley pulls his arm free but can’t control the positioning, and High transitions again to the front. Costly for Lapsley, but he recovers and slides to the back. High rolls for the left leg. He can’t get it. One minute left. Lapsley is on top and has a chance to attack. High sweeps and that should be the fight. High rides out the position, and MMAjunkie gives him the round, 10-9, awarding him the fight 29-28.

Result: Jason High def. Anthony Lapsley via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
