Round 1 – Easton hops to the center and throws a side kick as the two 135-pounders bounce around. Dillashaw blocks a couple punches, then kicks low. A spinning kick is off the mark for Easton. Dillashaw backs Easton nice to the cage and lands a big kick to the body, but Easton lands a bigger one and puts Dillashaw to a knee. Dillashaw wraps up Easton’s legs, though and tries to go to work on top. Easton plays good defense, then kicks his way out nicely halfway through the round. Dillashaw ties him up. After they break, Dillashaw lands a solid set of combinations. With a minute left, Dillashaw just misses an uppercut. Easton complains of an eye poke, but Miragliotta says he didn’t see it. Dillashaw tries to pour it on and won’t let Easton off the hook. It’s a 10-9 first round for Dillashaw.

Round 2 – Dillashaw stands right in the pocket early, and he changes from body to head. He cuts Easton open, then takes control on the ground. He tries to take Easton’s back, but Easton moves to his back and will defend from there. Dillashaw pounds with his left and has lots of time left. Easton listens to his corner and gets back to his feet, where he eats a knee and a combo of punches. A spinning kick from Easton just misses, and he comes right behind it with another one. But Dillashaw scoops him up and plants him again. He looks to take his back. Still lots of time left – two minutes. Easton’s purely defensive. He gets back to his feet, but Dillashaw stays glued to him and lands knees to his thighs. Easton looks like he’s going to try for a kimura on a roll, and when he finally breaks, he does have Dillashaw’s left arm. But he can’t keep it as the horn comes. It’s another 10-9 round for Dillashaw.

Round 3 – Easton’s corner told him before the round he’ll need a stoppage to win this fight. So we’ll see if he goes for broke, and if so, how quickly. Dillashaw lands a good combo a minute in. Then Easton ducks under a few. But Dillashaw still gets a bunch through. Both kick at the same time, but Dillashaw shrugs off a possible low blow. Halfway through, Easton hasn’t found much offense, and Dillashaw throws a half Superman punch with his right. Dillashaw’s striking is all over the place – kicks, punches, left and right. And he still appears pretty fresh with two minutes left. Easton shoots for a takedown with 90 seconds left, but Dillashaw scrambles away from it. Both fighters continue throwing down to the end. But it’s Dillashaw with another round win, and he should have a 30-27 nod.
