Round 1 – Parke takes the center early, but it’s Santos who starts the attack with several snapping low kicks. He tries to clinch and look for a takedown, but no luck. Santos sticks out his hand and catches Parke in the eye, but we fight on. It was Parke’s right eye that was touched, but his left eye is closing up from Santos’ early work. Santos looks good on his feet early. They clinch, but Parke’s corner calls for him to back away, which he does. They’re quickly back in the clinch, but nothing there. So referee Wernei Cardos breaks them apart. Parke lands a nice right hand on the restart, but Santos shakes it off and fires a kick to the body. Parke’s ribs reddened from the Santos blows. Into the clinch again, and it’s still a stalemate. Parke rattles off a few high kicks, but Santos is sharp with his counters. Round ends in the clinch, and MMAjunkie gives it to Santos, 10-9.

Round 2 – Parke out quickly. He’s still using a lot of kicks to start his attacks. Meanwhile, Santos is incredibly effective on the feet. They battle again in the clinch, and Parke’s corner yelling for knees. Cardoso breaks them again. Santos looks incredibly confident on the feet, and it’s Parke now looking for a takedown. As he nearly gets it, Cardoso steps in to deduct a point for holding on to Santos’ shorts. It seemed Santos was holding the cage at the same time, but the call has been made. Parke starts again quickly, and he’s starting to find some range. He fires a few knees in the clinch. Less than a minute. Parke’s corner wants him to disengage, but his strength on the feet hasn’t bee very decisive, so he does the work inside. Parke looks for a takedown that won’t come. Round ends, and it’s 9-9 with the deduction after Parke enjoyed a nice late surge.

Round 3 – Parke still looks to have some zip left, and he comes out firing. Back in the clinch, and it’s Parke pressing in from the outside. Crowd doesn’t like the positioning, but Parke is working fro now. Slippery uppercut inside. Cardoso steps in again, but Parke presses immediately forward on the restart. Crowd not happy that it’s back in the clinch, but Parke is finding success there. Santos defending against the fence, but he doesn’t have much in terms of offense. Cardoso breaks them again, and they trade punches in the pocket. Bot land with some solid blows before Parke looks to control again in the clinch. He slips around to the back in the final minute. He wants a takedown, but Santos stays upright. Parke woks for it until the bell. Crowd boos the effort, but Parke raises his hands to celebrate anyway. MMAjunkie sees the final round for Parke, 10-9, but sees the fight as a draw, 28-28.

Result:Leonardo Santos ties Norman Parke via majority draw (29-27 Santos, 28-28x2)
