Round 1 – Southpaws meet in the center. High scores with an early lead hook. Standing in the center, dos Anjos fires back and looks very fast to start. Both fighters trading early. High moves in for a takedown. He latches the body and slams dos Anjos to the floor. He won’t stay there, and dos Anjos is quickly back to his feet. Still, High is inside and scores another slam. High on top, and dos Anjos works from his back. He gets his legs high, but High pushes them aside. High comfortable in top position, but dos Anjos with a slick scramble to his feet. As he rises, High catches him with a knee. Good work from both fighters. it seems dos Anjos is finding a rhythm, but High still looks sharp. After some exchanges, dos Anjos moves inside and scores a takedown of his own. Final minute, and dos Anjos isn’t going to have much time. He looks for the kimura and complains that High is grabbing his shorts. Round ends, and it’s a close one. MMAjunkie likes the late work from dos Anjos and gives him the round, 10-9.

Round 2 – It’s a quick start from dos Anjos, who blasts away to the body. He scores with punches, as well. But just as it gets going, dos Anjos’ thumb goes into High’s eye, forcing a stoppage. High still wipes it as they restart. He moves forward, but dos Anjos is starting to string together combinations to the body and head. High wisely shoots in for a takedown but can’t keep things on the floor. On the restart, dos Anjos looks for a leaping knee that narrowly misses. It’s dos Anjos that looks like the fresher fighter right now, and he’s attacking the body. He goes in for a takedown of his own, and High is on the floor. Still, High isn’t giving up, and he sweeps to the top in a scramble. Now he’s on the back as dos Anjos moves to his feet. However, dos Anjos quickly turns in and spins off the cage. Less than two minutes, and they reset in the center. It’s a dos Anjos left that lands flush, and High hits the deck. He tries to hold on to a leg and recover, but dos Anjos gets in enough strikes to earn the finish. High is livid at the call and hops up and shoves referee Kevin Mulhall before yelling at him, but the fight is over.

Result: Rafael dos Anjos def. Jason High via TKO (punches) – Round 2, 3:36
