Round 1 – Perez out quickly, and Caraway walks forward to meet him. Crowd very loud and in full support of Perez. Perez bouncing early, ad Caraway patient. he misses an early takedown and moves back to the center. Perez walks forward, and Caraway wants the guillotine. He wraps the neck and drops to his back to finish it, but Perez waits through it. He pops his head up, and Caraway scrambles back to his feet. Lot of movement from Perez early. He’s working the left hook, but Caraway has largely avoided it. Leaping knees nearly scores for Perez. He launches a high kick, and Caraway catches it and puts him on the floor. Caraway slides immediately to the back and starts to look for the rear-naked choke. Perez defends well, but Caraway is still on his back. Perez turns in and alleviates the pressure, taking top position in the process. Caraway looking to potentially turn for an armbar, and Perez is patient on top. That allows Caraway to move back to his feet, and we reset in the center. Caraway changing levels, but Perez catches him with a solid knees. Caraway still leaning for the takedown, and Perez throws a leaping knee again. Caraway still walks through it. Caraway shoots from distance and gets inside again. Round ends, and both fighters raise their hands. MMAjunkie sees it for Caraway, 10-9.

Round 2 – Caraway misses on an early front kick. He looked too be tiring a bit at the end of the first. Perez is very lovely to start. They move quickly into a scramble, and Caraway battles his way to top position. Key moment in the early going. Perez scrambles, and Caraway moves again to his back. Figure-four around the body. Caraway going from side to side to get the choke, and he does get the left arm underneath. It’s tight. Perez doesn’t want to let go yet, but that choke is in tight. Caraway squeezes and gets the tap from a disappointed Perez.

Result: Bryan Caraway def. Erik Perez via submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 2, 1:52
