Whats with the retarded odds?
 

Just wondering but why's everything 1/1 or 2/1?

I mean, i bet on bodog and alot of there odds go up to even 5/1 and higher.

I used to place my wagers with PinnacleSports.com before they exited the US market and I know they had odds like that too. I don't recall many offhand but I do remember Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz 3, Shamrock had 8/1 odds on there. They right now are giving 3.25/1 on Kongo but the other matchups they give are in the 1/1-2/1 range

yea, you can make money by betting on both fighters with 2/1 odds

2000 on 1/1
1000 on 2/1

Is there any point in betting on 1-1 odds?
In many places 1-1 means you put 1 dollar on you get 1 back, meaning no gain at all if you win. 2-1 means you bet 1 and get 2 back, a win of double your money. 3-1 means you put 1 dollar and get 3 back...etc.

I would just like some clarification on how it works

ya bet 100 pts on a fighter with odds of 1/1 and he wins, you would win:

100 pts and also receive the 100 pts back that you bet.
Essentially you doubled your points.

In many places?? I think you're wrong.
Theres no where where 1/1 odds mean you put $1 on it you get $1 back. If you bet $5 on 1/1 and win. you get your 5 back and also 1x5...

so if its 2/1 and you bet $5 and win. you get your $5 back and $5 x 2

Geez.. If the odds are 1/1, then you will double your money. If you bet on a fighter who wins, you will recieve the points you bet back + the odds (1/1 = win same amount you bet, 2/1 = win double what you bet, 3/1 = win triple you bet)
