Yet again a 1/2 Favourite who is despised by the punters.
Here is a simple formula for what the odds would be in a real world totalizator format:
Total betting pool / Amount bet on winning fighter
= Return per dollar on winning bet.
Therefore a winning return on Almeida = approx 1.25 = 1/4 Fav.
Also a winning return on Cote = approx 5.5 = 5/1 underdog.
Wouldn't this be a much better way to run the vBookie at little to no extra effort?
At the moment the vbookie stands to win 600000 if Cote wins or lose 1300000 if Almeida wins. This is so unrealistic it isn't even funny.
Gonna have to agree with you on this one. These odds make no sense. I made a similar post linking all the betting odds for Cote vs. Almeida, but it got deleted with no explanation.
That being said, I honestly think Cote has a good chance of KO Almeida. More than the bets placed represent. If the odds were 1/1 for each fighter I might even bet on Cote.
Vbookie is by far and away my faverite part of the forum. I don't know why, I just love placing fantasy bets. Let's keep it as realistic as possible. I love the changes so far!
Loving the odds on Almeida. Gonna have Cote tappy tap.

Dude I agree with you 100%, however this is Vbookie, no real money up for grabs, just a bunch of guys earning points in order for bragging rights around the forum.

I cant believe how many people are writing Cote off, the guy does train BJJ, hell he has a purple belt, he trains with GSP, but everyone is writing him off like the only way he wins this fight is with some lucky punch, dude has skills and he is gonna prove it.

toxic you think cote is gonna win this fight?? i hear ya on the BJJ but at the same time I feel like most people that are goin with cote think he's gonna knock almeida out...my whole thing is this guy is a BJJ expert and not a striker but we know he has been workin on his stand up....lets say he had no stand up is he that bad that he cant train to not get hit in the face??? i mean thats whats gonna happen..the guy is gonna avoid the stikes from cote then shoot in and tie cote up like a pretzel...I am a cot fan myself and kinda like how cote was like I dont care if he trains with the pope...but i am also a realist...some one has to win the fight and I dont see cote doin it with stikes unless he gets lucky with one shot.....thats not what cote is lookin to stake his career on...a lucky shot

Im really not sure were your going Cold, I agree Cote isnt stsaking his career on getting a lucky shot, thats what Im saying, Almedia is got good BJJ but he isnt the MW BJ Penn and Cote isnt the MW Kimbo Slice, Cote is a hell of alot more well rounded then anybody in this thread has given him credit for, if you knew nothing about either of these guys and read this thread you would think that Almedia is the greatest submission guy in MMA and Cote couldnt even spell BJJ, yes Almeida is the better of the two on the ground but I think Cote is good enough to survive and get it back up to the standing position and quite frankly I dont find Almeida's takedowns at all impressive thus far and that is something that unless Ricardo has been working on his TD's isnt gonna be nearly as easy as people seem to think. The bottom line is 99% of people here are writing Cote off not because Almeida is an overly impressive fighter but because Lutter submitted Cote so easily and made his ground game look like shit in doing so while in reality Cote is alot better on the ground than that fight would indicate. Cote IS winning this fight and luck will have NOTHING to do with it..

Wow, this is BS. I bet over half my credits thinking I was betting on Almeida as a 2/1 underdog; then all of a sudden, the odds are switched around. I want my credits back.
Sorry boys I guess that's my fault based on my previous post.
But didn't you guys back Almeida because you thought he would win? And because most of the money thought he would win too, he is now the favourite. You know it makes sense.
