I'm putting 2k on Cote- I think Toxic has some great points- Cote does train with GSP and he was training with the Canadian Olympic Wrestling team as well. He's definitely not as slick as Almeida on the ground but he's not going to be a chump either. I think he can stuff enough of the takedowns while getting some solid shots with his bricks, er hands to win this.

But didn't you guys back Almeida because you thought he would win? And because most of the money thought he would win too, he is now the favourite. You know it makes sense.
I know it makes more sense, but to the detriment of myself :P. I bet on Almeida because he had a good chance of winning, and if he did, I'd get a great return from it.

It's indifferant. If you would take the time to check your odds, rather then just complaining about it, you would see that the odds you originally bet with are the odds you still have.

Looks like this betting line played out how it did in real life. Almeida was the underdog at first but everybody was betting on him so he became the favorite. Good thing I made my bet early

I hope my post didn't come off as complaining, since I fully agree with the switch.

I did however fail to check the bets themselves to see if they have been changed. Sorry about that!

So the solution to this whole vbookie thing is to not quote odds before the fight. This will encourage people to bet on who they think will win more so than chasing odds. Of course you could still assess what the odds would be as well by looking at the relative amounts bet on each fighter.
This way a fighters odds will be determined by the opinions of fellow MMAForum members and credits will retain their "value" somewhat ie; vbookie will not have a credit creating/reducing effect. After a fight the odds can be calculated and assigned to the winning bets.
What do you guys think?

Your welcome, wasnt how I thought it would play out but I hope alot of people quit underestimating Cote at least, the guy has some serious skills despite what almost everyone thought,
