Because Coleman is an old man who has not fought in 2 years and from 2000-2006 he only fought 7 times, racking up an incredible record of 3 wins, 4 losses.
I was a Coleman fan when he made his debut in the UFC way back when. I didn't follow Pride real close because I had no means to watch it for years. Then Shogun came to the UFC and I thought he was going to make an impact in the division. I'm glad Forrest won that fight, but expected Shogun to win. Now Coleman is pretty old for a fighter, so I don't expect much of a future contribution from him. Shogun however, might gain some traction and offer some 205ers some good fights. Therefore, even though I've been a Coleman fan since the beginning, I want Shogun to win this fight so he can play a part in making 205 a deep division and us fans get to see good fights.
If Coleman were fighting another old-timer, like Ken Shamrock, I'd be rooting for him for sure. But for now, the fighter with the most likely future in the sport is who I want to win. A Shogun loss would really undermine his past achievements, and I'd hate to see that.
it'd have to end like the first fight if coleman is to walk away with the win. seriously, this fight was made for shogun to win. he's coming back from a big lay off recovering from an injury, what better way to come back than to avenge a loss and beat a ufc legend all at the same time.
dana has big things planned for shogun, and coleman isnt going to get in the way of them.
I dont understand this betting shit much. Can someone help me out. If I put 1000 on Rua to win how much would I get back if I won? What if I put 1000 on Coleman and he won. Im confused. With the () number i guess. Awww pretty much confused with all of it I guess
a response to the comment above me. if you put 1000 on coleman and he won you receive 2820 back, true. but if u put 1000 on rua and he wins you get 1270 back. if u place a bet and you win u always get your money back and then some... i think thats what u meant to say but im just clearing it up
That's not what I meant. If you look at the odds, you will see it says 282/100 on Coleman that means you win 282 credits for your 100 credit bet, you will see it says 100/370 for Shogun which means you you have to bet 370 to win 100. I could be wrong but I don't think so.
Same here UFC, exact same amount. I'm sure it will go through after the replay.
