Daley is a much more accomplished fighter than you guys give him credit for, he has been WW champion at 2 different MMA organisations, FX3 and Cage Rage UK, and his first combat sport is Muay Thai where he is once again the King of The Ring World Welter Weight Champion, The guy is a born winner with every chance of conquering the UFC.

Sure he has had a couple of defeats during his transition to top level MMA from a pure Muay Thai background, these defeats have been a learning curve during his progression into the top level of MMA, Semtex has the tigers eye when it comes to winning and learning new fighting styles, you think Daley has not been working like crazy on his wrestling over the last couple of years before and during his entrance into the UFC, think again, he is one strong athlete and world class thoroughbred in combat sports and training, already very well accomplished in the world of Mauy Thai on a world class scare and about to do the same to the MMA scene.

I have inside info on the Rough House Team, I play live poker in Nottingham every weekend with a few inside sources, and the world on the vine is Kos is fcuked, forget Hardy, Daley is the real champion thoroughbred fighter at Rough House.

no offense but some british guys are giving you "inside info" that Daley will win??

do they happen to know alot about Kos and his training, training partners and camp??

cuz all of that... is a step above Daleys aswell.

While Daley was winning this and that. Kos was doing what will win him this fight.... putting grown men on their backs.

Who is Daley training with besides just "inside sources" that could match what Kos brings in the wrestling department??

they better be flipping over stones in england to find somebody that can wrestle like Kos with that explosiveness in the TDs.... cuz its a rare gift. a gift that Kos has merged with MMA very well.

Daley is the best at roughhouse??

you know what GSP says right?? if your the best somewhere... you need to train somewhere else to get better...

Kos is maybe the 3rd best at AKA who frequently bring in world class talent from all over the world of MMA on top of the stacked roster AKA boasts.

These british camps need to throw a bunch of pounds at some high quality wrestling guys to be there full time, aswell as coaches.

i know they have some decent wrestling coaches at wolfslair and roughhouse but u need a few very high quality wrestlers to work with all the time to really improve that aspect of your game.

wrestling is just so, so, hard to improve on. once you are years behind somebody to think it will only take a few months to gear up for that kind of wrestler is a mistake.

How many world titles in any combat sport has Kos ever owned?

I know he was a established college wrestler but that is just an American thing really, does not really count on the world scare like Daley's Thai background.

as for discrediting English under US Styles/Fighters, TUF team USA vs England, well England did not exactly loose did they.

I doubt now Kos will have the athleticism or strength to man handle Daley if it does at points in the fight become a wrestling match-up, he may have better technique because like you say the US are years ahead in the wrestling department, but Daley has developed enough to use his strength to break away from Kos and get it back standing where Daley with absolutely mane Kos so badly it will be like Maia standing with Silva only Daley will show no mercy will not hold back and he will look to finish.

i really like how english fighters fight tbh

alot of heart and they love to bang.

TUF is TUF... lets see how those boys against real competition. all the credit to ross pearson tho the kid does look pretty beastly.

Its just easier to find guys with very high calibre striking games to train with.

theres plenty of them in other combat sports.

finding those MMA wrestlers on that level. not easy at all. not easy to prepare for at all.

Hardy thought he would let his hands go too.

Kos really isnt that far behind GSP in the wrestling department and it wasnt long ago i saw Jake Shields easily deal with Paul Daley and take him down.

i definately think Daley could KO Kos standing but i dont see him stuffing Kos consistently.

Kos is a freak cardio... he will go for TD after TD even if it took all round. watch out for it.

i think the British fighters.... if they want to be the best.... have to stop having such massive loyalty to British camps and trainers.

i bet if a few of those guys came stateside and trained wrestling with the top wrestling camps... you could see some major steps taken.

across the atlantic?? i dont see any of them being champion tbh

One great thing about this fight is that it is a classic USA style MMA fighter against a classic UK MMA style fighter, Pearson has got skills and is getting better and better, but Daley is the peak of English talent, he is the finished product he is in the best shape of his life, he is a more all round MMA fighter than ever before even though no one in the UFC has been able to stand long enough with him to see it so far dont be fooled into thinking its not there and not been worked on, and when Daley commits to combat training, given the time which he has now had he takes it to another level, as I said before he is a born winner.

I have to agree with both alizio and killershark...

If Semtex can land a sweet combo like Paulo, this will be a short match. BUT, if Kos can get Semtex on his back, this might just look like GSP v Hardy.

The problem is, Kos will be looking for Semtex to strike, unlike the Paulo Thiago fight where he assumed Paulo would try to take to the ground... ie, Kos was gonna try to keep the fight where he thought he could dominate, the stand up.

This time though, I do not think he will be stupid enough to stand in the pocket and exchange... I expect Kos to mix it up then shoot for the big take down... and control Semtex on his back for 3 rounds, waiting for opportunities ... ie. take the fight where Semtex is at his weakest (strangely enuf, Daley admits he is weak in this department).

Kos will prolly trade for a bit, just like in the Johnson fight... then drop down for the double leg... then its all Kos.

He also lost to a bunch of crappy fighters too including an overrated lightweight not so long ago hahaha.
