Half a million on Miranda, guy is a BJJ black belt (Maia didn't submit Miller and struggled to submit J-Mac) Miranda is also a greco roman guy so he should be hard to take down and he has 6 wins by knock out and only one loss by knockout. I think he can steal a whole lot of Maia's hype here especially considering he is really lanky and if he can use his reach he will win this fight.

His range and striking should keep Maia at bay. Chance of a KO/TKO, but should win by decision, as I doubt he'll jump onto Maia when he grounds him with strikes
Round 1 - Referee Herb Dean oversees this main-card affair. Miranda paws a few lead lefts before firing up a high kick. It's Maia in the center with Miranda circling left. Maia misses on an overhand left, but it gets him into the clinch. He changes levels and gets the takedowns. Maia fires knees to the chest of his seated opponent. Miranda back up, but Maia immediately has him on the ground again. Maia throwing left hands and trying to sneak around to the back. Miranda tries to squeeze against the cage to prevent it, but Maia slips around and sinks in his hooks. Maia a little off-center, but his left leg is in deep. Miranda battling the hands and trying to keep wrist control to prevent the choke. Maia staying bust by landing punches. Miranda turns, but Maia stays on the back. He's very high, but as Miranda tries to pop out the back, Maia tries for an armbar. He slips off, and Miranda escapes to the feet. Maia leaps in with a left again. Maia stalking well, and Miranda can't keep the distance to punch. Clinch, but Miranda able to move away after a few traded punches. One minute. Miranda kicks low, but he has yet to take advantage of his length. More low kicks from Miranda. Maia misses on a huge winging left. Miranda kicks high, but it doesn't score. Tentative striking in closing seconds, though a few front kicks are exchanged. MMAjunkie.com sees the first round for Maia, 10-9.
Round 2 - Dean calls time to start. Little water in Maia's corner. Quickly cleaned up, and we move on. Low kicks from Miranda, and he misses an overhand right. Maia with a left, and Miranda ducks under it. Maia shoots for a leg from distance. He wraps it up and they hit the deck. Maia tries to scramble up, but his neck is trapped. Maia tries to squeeze a choke, but Miranda pops his head out. Maia postures up over a seated Miranda. He's pressing in with Maia trying to escape with his back on the fence. Maia sits down into a mounted position. Maia throws a few right hands and pulls Miranda away from the fence. Maia looks for an arm-triange on the top. Not there, and he settles for a few punches from the top. Miranda not taking much abuse, but he's also showing little ability to free himself. Maia works high and starts going to work on an armbar. Miranda holds his arms tight in defense. Maia settles back in for more punches before attacking the arm a second time.He moves to the side and tries to extend the arm, but Miranda pulls free. Axe kick from the standing Miranda. He tries to dive in with a big right, but Maia ducks in, and the round ends. MMAjunkie.com gives it to Maia, 10-9.
Round 3 - Miranda with a low kick to open. He grabs a Thai clinch, but Maia backs away and returns to drag his opponent to the floor. He's immediately on the back, and the hooks are in. Figure four from the back for Maia. Miranda covering up and preventing the choke. Maia throws a few punches and slips the left hand under. Maia lets the figure four go and tries to pull Miranda over. He can't, so Maia tries for an armbar. That slips off, and Miranda scrambles into a north-south position. Maia pushes in, but Miranda pulls away. Maia slow to stand, and he may be tired. Maia tries to pull guard, and Miranda pulls away. Dean forces Maia to his feet. Maia lands to the gut. Two minutes for Miranda to capitalize on Maia's apparent exhaustion. Maia with a tired shot, but Miranda must be spent, too, because he falls to his back. Maia advances to mount. He sits up on the chest and works to set up te armbar again. Maia steps over beautifully when his arm is extended. He dives in with punches at the end, but it's not even close to enough.
