UFC 122: Dennis Siver vs Andre Winner

Please don't post spoilers in this thread before the Spike TV telecast. If you want to talk about the fight's results when they happen, this is where to go:

4k on Winner. I know Siver's fighting at home, but I think Andre will want to prove something after the Lentz fight.

Siver did it for the home crowd:

Quote:
Round 1 - Referee Kevin Mulhall calls the action on this fourth main-card bout. Siver looks amped. Siver first to the punch, and they trade leg kicks. Siver goes high with a kick, but it's blocked. Winner answers with a leg kick. Siver tags Winner in an exchange. Winner attacks the legs as Siver punches in. Winner with a nice leg kick. Winner's reach gives him the jab in subsequent exchanges. Siver answers with a leg kick. Winner with a nice body kick. Siver attacks the leg. Winner lands a jab just as Siver shoots in for a single. He can't get it, and he peels off. Winner misses with a hard cross. They've burned off a little energy now. Winner misses with a combination. Winner takes a looping hook to the head as he kicks. Winner gets the leg before Siver can punch back. Winner's heigh and reach are an obvious advantage in this fight. Siver can't connect in close. Siver drops Winner with a punch, and Winner is losing consciousness rapidly more punches. Siver can't close him out though, so he leaps on Winner's back and locks in a choke. Winner fights it for a moment, but he just doesn't have the wherewithal to defend and taps out after a short struggle. Replays show Siver dropped the Brit with a left hand that he walked into. Dennis Siver def. Andre Winner via submission (rear-naked choke) - Round 1, 3:37
