Matyushenko TKO in the 1st:

Round 1 - Kevin Mulhall calls what's now the final preliminary-card bout of the evening. Ferreira immediately shoots for a leg and gets a takedown, but it's short lived. Matyushenko reverses and briefly puts Ferreira on his back before the Brazilian pops up. They're now locked up in the center of the cage, and Ferreira has a body lock. He's not doing much with it though. He briefly drops for a takedown, but is stuffed. Matyushenko disengages, and the two trade jabs. Matyushenko misses with punches as Ferrsai dives for a leg. No dice. They locks up again, and Matyushenko gets the takedown. He delivers hard shots from up top, and it looks like Ferriera is on his way out. As Ferreria attempts to scramble, Matyushenko fires down elbows and prompts Mulhall to stop the bout. Or does he? A cageside doctor is checking the Brazilian. Upon replay, it looks like a couple of those elbows were illegal. There's a small debate taking place between the referees. Bruce Buffer comes into the cage. It's official. Matyushenko is the victor, and 2:20 is the official time. Vladimir Matyushenko def. Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira via TKO (strikes) - Round 1, 2:20
