im just picking all the under dogs on this card. That said I THINK im going to loss all of my credits. But im hoping to score 1 or 2 wins and get a big payout.

Both these guys have similar styles (from what I can remember). George is better on the ground and I think J Lau has an edge standing.
I get why Sotiropoulous might be a favourite, but the the odds do seem excessive.
U got it backwards... George is the stand up, G Lo is the ground, and this is a tough call, my first thoughts were George to win, but ive been impressed with Joe, and maybe he can pull this off.... HMMMM
The more i think of this fight the more i see George beating Joe in the stand up, and i dont think Joe will be able to hold him down long enough to win that way...

Regardless of official rank IMO J-Lau has a lot better ground game than his rank would suggest. IMO J-lau is at the brown belt if not black belt level.

Well, I definitely disagree with you on the ground aspect. George is for me tops in the division for BJJ. If it is true that he's also better in the stand up than J Lau, then I can see why the odds are the way they are.

the only reason i have to believe george would get subbed is if lauzon puts on a striking clinic and drops him and takes the sub from there.

Soti is better at BJJ and striking from a technical standpoint Jlau has vastly superior gnp and I would say a lot more explosive submissions. I think Soti wins this 9 out of 10 times though.
I really couldn't resist the odds. I think this fight is going to be a lot closer than what has been predicted. I like both fighters but could see Lauzon taking this one. I tend to agree with Toxic on this one that the belt status really isn't applicable, its more how you apply your skill when you fight.
Saying Soti and Oliveria(spelling) are the best in the LHW is a little optimistic in my opinion. Neither of them have faced the top guys in the division yet. Who knows how they will react to really strong wrestlers with good sub defense. What about top level strikers with good takedown defense? Both of them are impressive but without proving themselves against top guys I'm not willing to agree with you.
