Jon Jones with the 2nd round choke!
Rising UFC star Jon Jones utterly dominated the previously undefeated Ryan Bader before choking him out in the second round.
Jones will likely enter title contention with this win.
Bader came out throwing hard punches. Jones shot in and took Bader down, risking a guillotine to get side control. Hard elbows to the body forced Bader to release his head. Jones took north-south and went for the choke of the same name. Bader's head turned rad but Jones had to let it go. Bader then stood up. Jones walked him down on the feet. Jones landed a high kick. Bader shot in feebly and Jones ended up on top after stuffing it. Jones threw some elbows. Bader tried to get up but had nothing. Jones then toyed with going for a d'arce choke but settled some hard elbows to the body.
Between rounds Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn offered Jones some very clear and technical advice. Bader's corner shouted, "put your ******* hands on him."
Jones made Bader walk back then threw a flying high kick and a flying elbow. Bader countered. Jones walked right through it. Leg kick from Bader. Bader charged in behind a jab that landed. Jones with an odd combination of superman punch and knee. Bader circled away trying to avoid being cornered against the cage. Jones with a hard leg kick and a second. Jones lands a right hand. A combination of kicks then takes Bader down. Jones attacked with a d'arce choke then switched to a guillotine and got the tap.
