Round 1 - Steve Mazzagatti in charge of the co-main event of the evening. Touch of gloves, and we're underway. Franklin leads with a low kick. Griffin goes high, but it's blocked. They clash with kicks, and Griffin grabs it and takes Franklin down. He works to pass guard while peppering Franklin's sides. Franklin had this one called right. Looks like Griffin's size is already an issue. He's smothering the former middleweight champ, and postures up for a few punches. Elbow to the body from up top. Griffin shifting knee to knee and periodically posturing up to drop some elbows. This is one way to get comfortable in the octagon again. Franklin in closed guard and not doing much but defending himself. He's losing a ton of points, though, and unless he does something, he'll spend the rest of the round taking short shots from the top. Griffin all elbows. 90 seconds left, and Griffin lands a couple of big right hands from up top. He can't pass guard. That's OK; the elbows and punches are doing just fine. 30 seconds left, and this is a 10-9 for Griffin plain and simple on MMAjunkie.com scorecards. Griffin looks less than surprised when he stands up after taking a pounding.

Round 2 - Griffin circles in and goes high with a kick as Franklin lands a hook. Griffin low kick takes steam out of punch. Griffin lands on the backend of a punching exchange. He's getting Franklin on the way out with kicks or punches. Franklin misses with a jab. Griffin catches a kick and drags Franklin to the mat while taking the back. Griffin on his knees and working to control Griffin's hands. Griffin gets a hook in and lands a few right hands. Franklin stands but can't shake Griffin. He goes to the mat again and stands. Finally, Griffin pushes him off; he's got nowhere to go. Franklin with a nice combo of hooks. Griffin returns with a punch. Griffin again lands on the way out of an exchange. Griffin with nice front kick. Next exchange ends with a kick. Griffin staggers Franklin with a left hook but can't land big on the follow up. Franklin recovers and lands a jab. Again, Griffin lands a kick on the tail end of an exchange. Franklin lunges with a hook and it's blocked. A follow-up kick meets the same fate. Franklin lands a short left hook, then a body kick. Franklin lands a few hooks and takes a kick as the round ends. 10-9 for Griffin on MMAjunkie.com's scorecard.

Round 3 - They clash with kicks to start the round. A couple of hooks are blocked with Franklin. They clash again, and both get nothing. Griffin catches a kick and follows with a knee but doesn't get the takedown. Franklin punches in and gets a bodylock. He tries to take Griffin down to no avail. Griffin, on the other hand, tosses him down briefly, but he's back up in short time. Franklin is breathing heavy. Griffin's high kick is blocked. Same goes for Franklin. Griffin meets a punch with a low kick. They both land in a subsequent exchange. Griffin with a nice body kick. His next combination meets mostly air. Franklin meets a kick with a punch to Griffin's head. He's got Griffin's timing better this round. Griffin ducks under a punch and gets an easy takedown. But this time Franklin quickly drives forward and manages to reverse for his own takedown. In no time, Griffin reverses and deposits Franklin to the mat. Franklin powers up, and they're back on their feet. They lock up against the cage, and Griffin lands a hook on the way out. They go toe to toe as the final seconds of the fight tick down. Close round, but MMAjunkie.com gives it to Franklin by a score of 10-9. Griffin, though, should prevail 29-28. Forrest Griffin def. Rich Franklin via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Where were you for the Shogun and the Rampage fights!?!? Most people learned that lesson a while ago lol. Griffin is just to damn unpredictable. If he isn't in Rock'em SOck'm mode then he make a fight DIRTY and get te win over almost anyone in the divison.

The first round last night is exactly how he should have appraoched the Silva fight instead of dicking around on his feet.

Atleast youve learned a valuable life lesson here lol. J/M
