I hope not! They just throw him tougher opponents with every loss. If he loses this, he deserves at least one more fight against lesser competition to prove himself.

Akiyama vs Rivera/Miller/Dollaway/Rellic/Grove/Doerksen would all make sense.

The battle of two most overrated fighters at MW. Both are somewhat mediocre but the big difference maker here will be shear size. Marquardt is a huge MW who looks like he should be fighting at LHW, Akiyma better suited for WW. Both guys are somewhat well rounded not excelling at anything. Maybe the winner can be considered a gatekeeper and loser a journeyman.

Let's hope so Kry. He's at least always exciting!

Do you guys think Akiyama has at least 15% chances of taking it?

I see the only way he wins is if he rocks Nate and finish him with ground strikes before the midpoint of round 2, his cardio isn't that good.

Do you guys think I should put my real money on Nate, because I think at 1.35 the odd is not bad for Nate.

Akiyama is out due to the tragedy in Japan, Dan Miller will step up from the prelims to take his place.

I abandoned this vbookie, and the forum sent the stakes back to the 23 people who had bet. And it's a bummer.
