It's funny because I assumed (and myself make) Randy would be a pretty heavy under dog for this fight, but since it was announced I have just been think he can pull of the victory over 3 rounds.

I thought I would more or less be alone in this view but obviously your post and the current betting suggest I am not. Interesting reading for me.

I just figure Randy will be able to get hold of Machida and probably mess him up against the cage for 3 rounds. I dont think he'll finish him but i wouldn't be suprised if he won a UD.

Yea that's basically what I was trying to say, over three rounds I can certainly see Randy winning two of them with his wrestling and taking the win.

I'm betting on Lyoto. Randy's going to have a tough time catching him but once he does and he clinches him against the cage, it's all him. It's a matter of gameplanning IMO.

MAchida is one of the best in the clinch in the UFC today. There is just no way that Randy could hold him against the cage for 15 minutes straight.. wich is what he would need to archive otherwise it's lights out really quickly! It seems to me people really don't appreciate how good Lyoto is in the clinch game makes me wonder why that is?!

Also Randy's body is the most vulnerable part of him these days. One flying knee by Lyoto and two, three body kicks to the liver will make him feel his age and it will be over in the first or second round. There is just no way that The Dragon won't finish him early!

By far the worst possible matchup for Randy Couture in the MMA World!

edit: just my 2cents

Another fight where people are 100% sure that both can win this one with ease. Can't wait.
