Poirier wins the decision:

Round 1 — They trade leg kicks to start and both men start swinging and landing. Poirier with a takedown against the cage but Young is looking for a kimura. They both give up their position and stand. They clinch against the cage. Poirier catches him with two nice shots as they separate. Young with a right that catches Poirier coming in. Poirier with a big leg kick but Young responds. Poirier tags Young a few times and he looks hurt a bit. Now they both swing. Young appears to be OK. Young is cut. He slips throwing a high kick but Poirier can't take advantage. They trade low kicks. 10-9 Poirier.
Round 2 — More leg kick trading to start the round. Young working the inside leg kick now. Poirier with an inside leg kick that catches Young low. Back underway. Young still looking to land leg kicks. Another. He is looking good with those. Poirier is nowhere near as active as he was in the first round. Young with a right hand. Another lands. Young leaps in with a flying knee but that doesn't work out well as Poirier responds with some huge shots. Young comes back and they start slugging and Poirier gets a takedown with 20 seconds left. It's not enough. 10-9 Young.
Round 3 — Both men active to start the round. Poirier puts Young on the cage and is in prime position for a double leg but can't get it. Nice job by Young. Now he's defending another one but he can't get it all the way, as Poirier takes him down with around 2:40 left. Young stands, Poirier drags him down and Young stands again. Poirier looking for another takedown and he drags him down with 1:45 to go. Poirier can't do anything and is eating elbows to the side. Young back up but Poirier is still on him. Back down. Under 45 seconds left. Again, Young stands but can't shake Poirier and now Poirier drags him to the middle of the cage and is in guard. Much-needed for Poirier. Young paintbrushing Poirier from the bottom. The fight ends with Poirier in half-guard. 10-9 Poirier (29-28 Poirier).
