Vbookie vote
Would you like to see future fights in vbookie? Right now the only UFC fights in the vbookie subforum are for fights on the next UFC show, UFC 133. Would you rather leave it that way or fill it up with threads for every future fight that has odds published for it? If we did that, instead of just betting on UFC 133 right now someone could put a bet on the Jones vs Rampage September fight or the Cain vs JDS October title fight, or even mythical possible fights like Silva vs GSP. It might be fun to have more, or it might take away attention from the most current event, who knows. You can vote if you prefer it either way, there isn't a "don't care" option but you can abstain just the same.

I'm already of the opinion that we don't have enough events to bet our vBookie's. What about all the other sports currently going on right now? We have baseball games going on every day, we just had Wimbledon, the women's World Cup is ongoing and yet we get no options to be on any of this.

I would prefer to keep it the way it is for three reasons
1 Like you mentioned, it would take away a little attention from the upcoming event.
2 People would get a lot of credits tied up in fights 6 months away, and they wouldn't have any to bet on the prelim fights when those lines come out.
3 The lines often change considerably from when they open, so either you're going to have to change the lines a bunch or we have crooked lines from time to time.
Just my two cents, not a big deal either way.

Thanks for responding and voting guys, wouldn't be perfect either way just looking for the one that's more fun. People tying up their credits if they go too far in on a far away fights is something that could definitely happen, good call there St Paul Guy. On changing lines though, I usually update them on the threads I make when I see enough of a swing or especially if a favorite changes and could still do it if there were more. Some people have complained to me, 'Hey why am I only getting .42 for Frank Mir while that guy is getting .47' because of that same thing, changing lines.

In the sports vbookie forum there is a thread for requesting other sports to bet credits on:
http://www.mmaforum.com/sports-vbook...st-thread.html
I don't personally follow too many sports outside of MMA but put up threads for the ones that I do in that subforum. When somebody requests boxing, soccer or NBA or what have you we try to put it up for them too.

Leave it as is. Still get to bet on every fight of every event this way if you want to and you have more to bet with as you don't tie up your credits unnecessarily. Adding extra fights only makes this forum more cluttered and it harder to find current fights.

Change it bud!! I hate waiting for the next event to start before i can bet on it. If there are fights going on way ahead then we can have a longer waiting time to get the odds we want. It makes me more interesting that way.

Accumulators would be fun if we had larger time scales. As it stands, Im not sure if I would bet on an event in a few months, unless I can tie it together with more recent events.
Either way, I think it wouldn't hurt to open up to future events. Some of the above concerns are valid, but anybody can choose to keep using vbookie as it is now, and ignore the later bets. So no harm done, right?
