GSP's striking gets better and better which makes sense considering he is one of the best athletes in MMA. To think Nick Diaz will "clearly" win in the stand up department is a little ignorant. YES, Nick Diaz has fantastic boxing but I honestly feel GSP's overall stand up ability will in the very least make it an even match up.
When it comes to the ground game,if BJ Penn couldn't submit GSP off his back then Nick Diaz won't. GSP has fantastic submission defense and will ruin Nick Diaz's night through his barrage of GnP if he chooses to take it to the ground which is very likely.
There is also mention of Nick Diaz's superior conditioning. True. Unfortunately for Diaz they're only fighting 5 rounds. GSP will never gas in a 5 round fight so superior conditioning is irrelevant here.
Nick Diaz is a very dangerous fighter who I feel ranks among the best of the best at 170 but he doesn't quite have the weapons to deal with the king of the welterweights. No one really does.
