all in on JDS.

-ring rust for Cain
-good tdd from JDS
-superior striking of JDS

JDS should take this the majority of the time, if Carwin can't even get close to taking down JDS Cain won't be able to and standing a healthy JDS demolishes Cain. Cain's striking was amplified by Nog and Lesnar, JDS has stood with everyone and looked very good. Cain almost got knocked out by Kongo.

Are you implying that Carwin's wrestling is superior to Cain's?

I'm implying that in mma fighters with similar wrestling abilities have a very hard time getting eachother down and it's often counterproductive spending ones energy on a takedown. Cain could spend too much energy trying to get JDS down and leave himself in very vulnerable positions, considering how easily JDS shrugged Carwin's attempts I have a hard time seeing Cain having over a 50% success rate with his takedown attempts.

Add that to his recent surgery and ring rust the odds are definitely against Cain on this one. Junior has the second best striking in the HW division and very good tdd, Cain's outmatched. Obviously I could be wrong, but just my take on the fight.

I'll respectfully disagree.

We've seen the "ring rust" theory get smashed lately -- Sonnen, Belcher, Etim... and Cain's injury shouldn't degrade his takedown ability, which is what he should be leaning on here in this fight.

And I believe Cain's wrestling (and overall game) are on a whole 'nother level than Mr. Carwin's.

I certainly do agree that JDS has a chance of catching Cain here, but feel Cain has more possible routes to victory.

Cheers
