Garcia will be prepared this time. Pham has never impressed me. I was surprised the first time they fought, but it looked like Garcia didn't expect Pham to bring it. 50K on Garcia at these odds

THis is a tough one... Garcia never impressed me ever in his career... He is one of those fighters that did decent when the Caliber wasn't decent... Its a tough call, but knowing that this fight wont go to the ground i might have to give it to Nam

Round 1 - Referee Jacob Montalvo oversees this featherweight rematch. Punches traded early, and Phan sneaks in a high kick. It's round four early with a quick pace from both. Garcia pumping his jab. Phan pushes in with a flurry, and Garcia answers with his back against the cage. They push away, and Phan connects flush and sends Garcia to the floor. He rushes in, but Garcia pulls guard. Not much there, and Montalvo with a very quick standup. Phan looks very crisp early, and he staggers Garcia again. Halfway in. Garcia already in brawl mode. He shoots, but Phan with a perfect defense and back up to the feet. Phan digs the body, and a left hook clips the chin. Garcia winging his customary blows, and a front kick hits the gut. Garcia with a stiff jab, and he's letting it all go. Still, Phan is crisp and tight. An eyepoke gives brief pause. Garcia shoots o the restart, but Phan pushes him to the floor. Clear round (no, really - they can't mess this one up) for Phan to start, 10-9.

Round 2 - Phan again landing early with straight punches. Garcia wings shots again, but it's Phan doing the work. Spinning backfist misses for Garcia. Garcia landing on occasion, but Phan is picking him apart with more accurate strikes. Halfway into the round, ad Garcia is taking a beating thus far. It's back and forth striking, but Phan has the volume and the accuracy. Garcia is waving Phan in, and Phan is happy to oblige. Garcia throwing heavy overhands, but Phan is avoiding them and peppering with punches from all angles. Garcia looks utterly exhausted, and Phan picks him apart with a combination. Garcia thinks takedown but is just pushed away. Garcia going to need a homerun shot, but Phan staying active and moving. Round ends, and it's all Phan, 10-9 on the MMAjunkie.com card.

Round 3 - Garcia pushes in to open, and he's going to need a finish. High kick and knee miss. Phan avoiding the early storm. Garcia just blasting away, and he drops Phan. Phan gets back to his feet, and an exhausted Garcia swings wildly. Phan looks recovered, but Garcia is applying pressure. Phan ties it up, and Garcia backs away and takes a deep breath. He can't have much left. Phan now with his withs about him, and he starts the systematic destruction again. Garcia struggling to even keep his hands up in defense. Crowd loves the war. It ain't pretty, but it's fun. Phan gets the takedown, with two minutes remaining. Phan working on to, but ref is quick on the trigger again. Crowd OK with that. Garcia moving forward and misses with a spinning backfist. Garcia's right eye bleeding, and he looks like he wants to collapse. Still he pushes forward. Toe-to-toe until the final bell, and you can probably write that "Fight of the Night" check now. Crowd erupts. MMAjunkie.com gives the round to Garcia, 10-9, but awards Phan the fight, 29-28. Nam Phan def. Leonard Garcia via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
