Round 1 - Referee Kim Winslow in the cage for the evening's final Facebook-streamed contest. Vera with an early low kick. He pulls back on a second. Vera in the center. Nice right hand for Vera followed by a kick to the body. Vera stalking in his southpaw stance. Marshall yet to offer much from the outside. Vera still working the low kicks. He lands one to the body as well and follows with a flying knee and moves into the clinch. Vera pressing in from the outside, but he breaks away at the halfway mark. Marshall finally gets busy and lands with a few rapid punches. Vera moves in tight and slows the assault. Not much happening against the cage as Vera leans on Marshall. Winslow breaks them with a little less than a minute. Both fighters tentative as they pull back on strikes. Vera a little bit more active, but not a ton to impress. Still, MMAjunkie.com sees it for Vera, who was in control for most of the round, 10-9

Round 2 - Vera takes the center again. Slapping leg kicks to open. Marshall leaps in with a lead left. They clinch, and Vera fires a swift kick after spinning Marshall away. It doesn't land flush, and Marshall ties up the action and presses in against the cage. Vera circles off, and they work for control against the cage. Vera finally gets a trip and takes top position. Open guard for Marshall at the halfway mark. Vera controlling from the top but not finding much room to work. Marshall finally scoots up to his feet, but Vera meets him with a knee and moves back into the clinch. Less than a minute. Vera wrapping the body but can't get Marshall off his feet. There's a break with 20 seconds left, and Marshall misses with a leaping left on the restart. Round ends, and MMAjunkie.com again sees it for Vera, 10-9.

Round 3 - Vera again takes the center. Marshall misses on a big leaping shot. Vera keeping his distance, and Marshall staggers him with a right hand. Marshall all over him with more punches, and he is definitely hurt. Still, he works to his feet and pushes Marshall away. Best action of the fight. Marshall punches again, and Vera wobbles in the center of the cage. He has not recovered. He ties up the action and presses into the cage. Three minutes remain. Marshall needs to make room to work, and Vera looks to keep the action slow and shake out the cobwebs. Wrist control against the fence, but not much in the way of action. Marshall finally pulls free. Vera fires off a few kicks. Marshall moves in and takes the fight to the floor. He's immediately on the back and looking for the choke. The right arm comes across briefly, but Vera defends well. One minute left. Marshall in great position with a hook in. He slides off to the side for an armbar, but Vera rolls and spins to survive. Nice creativity from Marshall, but Vera slides out and finishes the final few seconds in top position. MMAjunkie.com sees a great third round for Marshall, 10-9, but awards Vera the fight, 29-28, based on the slow opening rounds. Brandon Vera def. Eliot Marshall via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
