Curran works to one leg, but Jorgensen is there to plant him right back on his back. Winslow calls for a restart with less than 40 seconds. Curran throws heavy punches. Jorgensen covers well, but Curran is firing hard. Another takedown in the closing seconds, and the opening round goes to Jorgensen on the MMAjunkie.com card, 10-9.
Round 2 - Jorgensen working the jab again. Curran trying to answer, and he ducks in for a shot. Jorgensen defends well and controls the head from a standing position. Knees to the body from Jorgensen. Curran defending well and not taking too much damage, but Jorgensen locks the body and drags him to the floor yet again. Curran scrambles free and looks to have a choke secured, but Jorgensen rolls free and back to the feet. Tense moment briefly, but Jorgensen quickly puts the action on the floor yet again. Halfway mark, and Jorgensen is controlling through his wrestling. Jorgensen nearly swept on a tricky Curran attempt, but he just stays on top and lands a shot or two when he can. Curran trying to fire big shots from the bottom, and he finally escapes with less than a minute. Jorgensen on his knees and Curran looks for the inverted triangle momentarily. Jorgensen feels it and drops back down, preserving his security until the end of the frame. MMAjunkie.com sees it for Jorgensen, 10-9.
Round 3 - Curran has done a decent job underneath, but he's spent too much time on his back. He comes out firing heavy shots to open the third, and he's landing a few of them. Curran missing on overhand rights but finding more success with his jab. Still, Jorgensen is fine and returns fire in the pocket. Curran lands with a kick to the body, and he hang his chin as an invitation. Jorgensen obliging with mixed results. Nice uppercut for Curran. Jorgensen not looking for the takedown this round. Curran moves in, and Jorgensen drives him into the cage. Two minutes left. Jorgensen stays busy with a few knees to the leg. He won't release that bodylock, though Curran finally scrambles away. Curran still winging big rights, and a few lefts land on the money. Both fighters trading in the closing minute. Jorgensen drives Curran to the floor but won't be able to capitalize on the position before the end. MMAjunkie.com likes Curran's striking in the final round, 10-9, but gives the fight to Jorgensen, 29-28. Scott Jorgensen def. Jeff Curran via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
