Round 1 - Referee Leon Roberts oversees the fight. Omigawa comes out quick, but Young coves and backs away. Omigawa moves into a clinch and just misses on a crisp toss attempt. Young backs away and resets. Quick pace early. Young scores with a few slapping ow kicks. Omigawa lands a stiff left and backs away. Omigawa lands again but is nearly caught on a takedown attempt. He scampers away and lands a few more punches before bringing the fight to the floor halfway in. Omigawa in half-mount, and crowd quickly boos his lack of offense. Young works to his feet and sneaks in a few knees from the clinch. Not much there, so Omigawa backs away. Omigawa switching stances and gets caught with a high kick, One minute left, and Omigawa is staggered again, though it looks much like a slip, as well. Young finishes with a flurry and gets a takedown in the closing seconds, though Omigawa immediately sweeps over to the top before the bell. Young has a swollen right eye, but replays show it came from a headbutt. MMAjunkie.com sees it for Omigawa, 10-9.

Round 2 - Quick flurry of movement from both, but Omigawa takes it quickly to the floor. He's in side control and looking to secure Young's right arm, but the crowd boos and begs for the fight to move back to the feet. Omigawa pressing down on Young, trying to step over. Instead, it's Young who sweeps and scrambles back up. He goes to work with a few leg kicks and lands a right hand. High kick just misses over the top. Young seems to have a better grasp on Omigawa's movements. Two minutes remain. Omigawa gets a trip and puts Young on the floor again. Side control. Omigawa still unable to secure any real offense from the top, but he is working to advance and look for submissions. Crowd begging for a standup, but Goddard does the right thing and lets them work. Round ends there, and MMAjunkie.com sees it for Omigawa, 10-9.

Round 3 - Young looking to explode early, and shoves Omigawa away when he tries to tie up. Omigawa slipping left hands and continuing to switch stances. Omigawa kicks the leg and ties up again, tossing Young to the floor yet again. Young refuses to stay there and scrambles back up to his feet. Leg kicks traded. Omigawa taking a little more than he's giving, but not by much. He grabs the neck and rolls in a slick move to the top. Young knows he can't stay there and moves to his knees. It's as far as he'll get. One minute remains, and Omigawa is grinding away. Crowd not happy at all, but Omigawa is looking for chances. He's imply being a little too cautious for the hostile crowd. Young tries again to stand, but he's stuck. He does pull away for a punch at the end, but the bell sounds. MMAjunkie.com sees the final round for Omigawa, 10-9, awarding him the fight 30-27. First round may go Young's way. Michihiro Omigawa def. Jason Young via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
