Round 2 - Uyenoyama from center again. He misses a high kick and is tagged by a Yamamoto straight. Nose may be broken because it explodes with blood. Still, Uyenoyama pushes in and gets the fight to the floor. Uyenoyama in half-mount. Another beautiful transition from Uyenoyama who is again on the back. Figure-four on the body, and Uyenoyama starts looking for the choke. Tons of time remaining, and after a blistering start, Yamamoto is in trouble. He's defending well as Uyenoyama looks to soften him up with punches and work in the choke. The right arm wraps the chin again, but Yamamoto is game in defense. Uyenoyama punching away from the back in the final minute. Yamamoto has shown great heart, but he's also absolutely stuck. Round end there, and MMAjunkie.com gives it to Uyenoyama, 10-9. Would have been a 10-8 if not for being floored in the opening seconds.
Round 3 - Uyenoyama takes the center again. Yamamoto still has spring in his step, but he needs to land a bomb. Leaping knee isn't even close. Yamamoto misses a right up top, and Uyenoyama just clinches up and falls back to guard. Uyenoyama immediately works his legs high on the neck. Two minutes in, and Uyenoyama looks like he may be willing to just ride it out on his back.Yamamoto stands and nearly eats an upkick. He backs away to reset. Yamamoto looking to box, but Uyenoyama just backs away. They clinch against the cage, and Yamamoto looks hard for a trip. Still, Uyenoyama remains upright with excellent defense. Not much in the clinch, and Landless breaks it. Uyenoyama misses a spinning strike, and Yamamoto punches. Not much in the final round, but MMAjunkie.com gives it to Uyenoyama, 10-9 and 30-27. Darren Uyenoyama def. Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27).
