Silva vs. Franklin II

Now that Dana has said Franklin will rematch Silva, who will win?

Silva showed some huge holes in his game when he fought Lutter. Mostly his takedown defense. I know Silva tapped Lutter via a triangle, but Lutter did mount the Spider at one point.

However, the majority of Franklin's wins are by knockout or stopage. I'm not sure Franklin can knock Silva out. I think the rematch will be a toss up and hopefully Franklin can regain the belt.

I have only seen Silva fight in the UFC. Seems like they hype his striking more that his ground game. Does he have a better chance of submitting Franklin or KOing him again?

I actually think if there is a rematch then Franklin will beat Silva. You hit it right on the button when you talked about Silva's take down defense. Silva is a black belt in BJJ so i think Franklin thought taking him to the ground would be a bad choice and thought he could trade with Silva. Silva got taken down by Lutter with one of the most sluggish take downs i had seen.

Franklin is one of the smartest fighters in the game. I thhink if there is a rematch Franklin will look to take it to the ground and lay some GnP on SIlva. If Franklin mounts silva i think it would be a whole nother fight then when Lutter mounted him.

I can't wait to see Franklin get embarressed again. If he can't stay out of the clinch he's DOOMED. I predict a 1st round KO

There is no way Rich will clinch with Silva next time. The straightness of his nose depends on it!

Franklin should not stand with Silva so hes gonna have to take him to the ground. I dont think Franklin will trade submisssions with him so i think Franklin wins by GnP late in the fight.
