I'm a bit more optimistic.

I think Rich could defeat Vitor in a rematch, and honestly I think that's the only major challenge outside of Anderson for Rich. I'd see him beating Sonnen easier than Vitor.

I honestly don't think he'd have too much trouble at the very least making his way up to a "whomever wins this fight gets a title shot" position, and I don't see anyone in the division that he couldn't beat once he got that far.

But...bbbutt....but Anderson has ten more years left in MMA.

Seriously though, even without Silva, sadly Rich is a fringe top five guy anymore.

If there's anyone who could do it, it's Rich. The guy has indomitable will and is probably the most mentally tough fighter in the sport. I don't know if he'll ever hold a belt again. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him work his way back up to a title shot. Look at all the guys at 205 who got title shots after just one or two good wins?

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

His fight against Chuck is still in my mind when I think about him fighting. With his arm broken he was still throwing full force punches. Sure if he made it to the end of the round it may have changed if he was able to throw it after that, but still no one else does that.

Best of luck to Rich, I like him, but it's a hard, uphill battle for what he wants.

Good for him. I hope he pulls it off, and I'll be rooting for him all the way.

It would almost be like he never left, besides Sonnen and vitor of course.
